Christian Carius ist Politikwissenschaftler, ehemaliger CDU-Politiker und Unternehmensmanager. Er verbindet politische Führungserfahrung auf Landes- und Bundesebene mit operativer Verantwortung in einem globalen Industriekonzern.

Als Thüringer Minister für Bau, Landesentwicklung und Verkehr (2009–2014) und Präsident des Thüringer Landtags (2014–2018) trug er Verantwortung für Budgets von über 1 Milliarde Euro und rund 2.500 Mitarbeiter. Er leitete länderübergreifende Gremien und war Vorsitzender der Verkehrsministerkonferenz 2009/10.

Bei Mubea (Muhr und Bender KG), einem der weltweit führenden Automobilzulieferer, verantwortete er als Head of Corporate Development & Governmental Affairs Strategie, M&A und Government Relations – und ist dort weiterhin als Director Governmental Affairs & Geostrategy aktiv tätig.

Seit Oktober 2024 berät er mit C-Consult GmbH Unternehmen und Organisationen an der Schnittstelle von Strategie, Markterschließung und Governmental Relations.

Christian Carius is a political scientist, former CDU politician and corporate manager. He combines political leadership experience at state and national level with operational responsibility in a global industrial group.

As Thuringian Minister for Construction, Transport and Regional Development (2009–2014) and President of the Thuringian State Parliament (2014–2018), he carried responsibility for budgets of over €1 billion and approximately 2,500 employees. He chaired inter-governmental bodies and served as Chairman of the Conference of Transport Ministers in 2009/10.

At Mubea (Muhr und Bender KG), one of the world's leading automotive suppliers, he served as Head of Corporate Development & Governmental Affairs – and continues to be actively engaged there as Director Governmental Affairs & Geostrategy.

Since October 2024, through C-Consult GmbH, he advises companies and organisations at the intersection of strategy, market development and governmental relations.
